Karine Gullino is a French artist based in London. The artist works across a variety of media, including sculpture, installation, painting and photography. Materiality is an important aspect of the artist’s work, allowing materials to respond to each individual artwork.
The artist is interested in the human condition and thematically bases much of her work on this. The artist herself notes:
‘The one theme or strand however that I feel does run through my creativity is…the delicate history of us as individuals and our interactions, perceptions with the world around us.’
Gullino has a playful and experimental approach to her work, which the artist notes ‘I am continuously viewing, learning and thus creating.’
